Join us for one of the most exciting local hiking tours in Shizuoka! Learn more about the local history as well as traditional Japanese ukiyo-e art at the Tokaido Hiroshige Museum from your English-speaking guide. Ukiyo-e that literally means "pictures of the floating world" in Japanese is a genre of art that flourished in Japan from the 17th through 19th centuries. Ukiyo-e artists produced woodblock prints and paintings to depict certain characters, scenes from history and folk tales, travel scenes and landscapes, and flora and fauna. Take a walk to the scenic spot overlooking the Mt.Fuji and deep blue Suruga Bay and also stop by the popular Satta Pass that was drawn as a famous ukiyo-e by Hiroshige Utagawa. It is considered the miracle spot that has not changed much since 19th century. Don't leave Shizuoka without tasting the freshest seafood at a local fishing port!
